Gotham City is a weekly newsletter covering international financial crime through court documents in Switzerland. We focus on cases of corruption, fraud and money laundering.
Our team of journalists monitors all white-collar crime cases submitted to the three Swiss federal courts (Supreme, Criminal and Administrative Courts), along with all decisions related to Mutual Legal Assistance (MLAT) requests.
We also monitor the decisions of the Office of the Attorney General (OAG), the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Geneva and the Federal Department of Finance, among others.
Our aim is to increase transparency in the court rulings of one of the world’s most important conduits of financial crime.
Although the court decisions we are reporting about are legally accessible to the media, they are often hard to access. In most cases, we are required to visit the courts in person to read them in full.
The newsletter is sent every Thursday at 6 am (CET). Each edition features in-depth articles and a summary of recent cases with links to the original court decisions.
Gotham City is an independent publication funded solely by it’s subscribers. It’s published by Marie Maurisse, François Pilet and Coline Emmel. We are based in Lausanne, home of the Federal Supreme Court.
Invoice billing and group subscriptions are available on request. We have special rates for NGO’s and public institutions. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions: Marie Maurisse (+41 79 605 28 96, firstname.lastname@example.org) or François Pilet (+41 79 474 54 22, email@example.com).
